Emily Dickinson ( 1830 - 1886 ) é um dos expoentes da Literatura Norte-Americana. Emily Dickinson faz uso de uma linguagem paradoxal, densa, baseada no cotidiano de sua própria vida. Há certo Bucolismo, ou seja, elementos simples extraídos da Natureza são temas de sua Poesia. Percebe-se que seu estilo conciso, hermético - a meu ver - misterioso e com forte peso semântico, tem muito a ver com a vida de Emily Dickinson... Para fim da minha breve análise, não há definição na Poesia de Emily Dickinson. Tudo leva a crer que o que mais se aproxima é a Poesia Metafísica... Modesta parte, inconscientemente, eu mesmo, Jorge Luiz de Oliveira, escrevo sobre este tema, também... embora eu incline, por vezes, ao Romance Gótico, nos quais, eu abordo temáticas como: Poesia Tumular / Cemiterial... além do Horror Fantástico Sobrenatural, etc. - JORGE LUIZ DE OLIVEIRA.
